 This install applies to "Vette!", an unofficial Amiga port of the 1991
 Macintosh game by Sphere, Inc., published by Spectrum HoloByte.


 Requirements:
 -------------
 This install requires WHDLoad version 17.0 or better, Kickstart 2.04 or later,
 and a 68020 or better. A 68030 or better and AGA are recommended.
 The installed program reserves 1024 KB ChipMem and 4608 KB OtherMem, including
 its Kickstart image. Allow additional memory for the host system, WHDLoad
 and PRELOAD. Installation requires Installer V43 or later and 3 MB disk space.

 The game also requires a legally obtained Kickstart 3.1 image and matching
 relocation file in "Devs:Kickstarts" or "WHDCOMMON:". Supported pairs are:

   kick40063.A600  and kick40063.A600.RTB
   kick40068.A1200 and kick40068.A1200.RTB
   kick40068.A4000 and kick40068.A4000.RTB

 These filenames do not require a particular Amiga model. The relocation files
 are available in the Aminet archive "util/boot/skick346.lha". Neither the
 Kickstart images nor the original game data are included in this package.


 Installation:
 -------------
 To install or reinstall the original data, download
 "VETTE__1.02_and_extras.sit" from:

 https://www.macintoshrepository.org/4948-vette-

 Leave the downloaded file compressed. Run the Install icon and select the
 destination. If a Vette! drawer exists, choose whether to remove it first;
 removing it also removes saved scores. Keeping it preserves saved scores.

 If both original data files are installed, choose Reinstall or Use existing.
 Only data installation asks for a temporary drawer and the downloaded archive.
 The executable, slave, icon and ReadMe are always reinstalled.

 Allow at least 12 MB free in the temporary drawer. The default is T:, which
 normally uses RAM; choose a hard disk drawer if there is insufficient memory.
 Extraction can take several minutes. Data is verified before replacing the
 installed files, and temporary files are removed afterwards.

 Start the installed game using its Vette! icon. PRELOAD is enabled by default;
 disable that Tooltype if there is insufficient memory to cache the files.


 Display:
 --------
 HIRES is off by default: 368x283 lores follows each screen's useful area.
 Enable HIRES in WHDLoad's options (CUSTOM1=1) for the full 512x320 image
 in an interlaced display. The mouse pointer is shown on selection screens;
 its proportions are preserved on OCS, ECS and AGA systems.


 Quitting:
 ---------
 Control + left mouse button quits normally and saves pending score changes.
 WHDLoad's QuitKey (F10, changeable with Tooltype "QuitKey=") exits immediately
 without running the game's save-on-exit code.

 If using an emulator, set port 0 to Mouse and port 1 to Nothing. Keyboard
 joystick emulation may otherwise consume the cursor keys.
